Back the Bloodhound !

Construction work has begun on what is expected to be the world’s fastest car.  Bloodhound is the latest design by Richard Noble and the aim is to reach 1,000mph (1,600km/h). The all-British super vehicle will attempt to break the land speed record on a dry lake bed in South Africa’s Northern Cape next year, powered by a Eurofighter-Typhoon jet engine bolted above a hybrid rocket. Bloodhound has been in design for the past three years and will be driven by my old Royal Air Force friend Wing Commander Andy Green.

If you would like to support the record bid you can get your name (albeit in small print) on the vehicle for £10. Schools and youth groups can join for £50,whilst for £500, companies can get their name on the car in larger print, a mention on the Bloodhound Web site with “your name, your message of up to 25 words, your logo and a hyperlink to your site” plus a thank-you certificate with a print to hang on your boardroom or clubroom wall. Phew! You can read all about the project and even get the T shirt by clicking on the photo below:

So go on, back this tremendously exciting adventure and be a part of  something special. To join the 1K Club and keep up to date with the project, just click on the logo:
